During regular school hours, dedicated staff (most bilingual) will be creating remote learning hubs to support students through their school day. In addition, we have connected with school principals to ensure communication with teachers and school campus administrators to support student learning. There will be daily opportunities for outside socially distant physical activities, hands on STEM activities, and participation in our SMART Moves program (which addresses social/emotional support).
CLUB HOURS: Our Maxwell Park Clubhouse will be open for programming Monday-Friday, with drop-off beginning at 7:30 am and pick up at 5:15 pm for children and youth 6 years old through 8th grade.
CLUB COST: The program cost for August will be $150 per week with a onetime $25 membership fee. Please note fees are subject to change pending any new adjustments to current guidelines and/or the continuation of distance learning. We plan to evaluate after 30 days and will do all we can to keep pricing reasonable. In addition, we are only able to offer our program on a weekly basis. We are not able to accommodate drop-ins, half days, or partial weeks.
We understand and recognize the weekly fee will be new for many families who have attended our programming in the past. Fee increases are due to the CDC & DHS guidelines that we must follow in order to ensure the safety and well-being of our members and staff. Unlike the past, where we have only been open during after-school hours, we are now staffing our clubhouse for 10 hours a day, five days a week. This, in addition to providing enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols, supplies for each member so there is no crossover, and lower ratios to provide greater social distancing have resulted in a weekly rate.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID 19 restrictions/guidelines Club is limited to 60 youth. Registration is first come first serve and is not available day to day.
