Sweetheart Gala & Auction
Selling out each year, the Sweetheart Gala & Auction brings together our community for one unforgettable evening. This year’s theme "The Best is Yet to Come: Honoring our Legacy, Building our Future" is a salute to Matt Sevenau and all the Boys & Girls Clubs alumni who make our community better. An over-the-top black-tie gala will take over the Maxwell Clubhouse for one evening you won't want to miss! The event begins at 5pm with a cocktail reception, followed by an elegant dinner. Silent and live auctions will feature select getaways, one-of-kind experiences, premium wine lots and more. The fun doesn’t stop there, the after party will carry on with sweet and savory bites, dancing and a casino.

2020 Sweetheart Honoree
Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley is honored to announce Matt Sevenau as the Club’s 2020 Sweetheart. Sevenau is an alumnus who knows firsthand what it means to thrive with the support of the Club. Raised by a single mother in Sonoma in the 1970s, Sevenau relied on the then-named “Boys Club” to be a safe haven after school and for extracurricular activities that might otherwise be hard to afford. His experience at the Club was so integral to his childhood experience and his identity as a Sonoman, when he moved back to town to raise his own children; son, Satchel (16) and daughter, Temple (11), he enrolled them both in summer camps and sports programs at the Boys & Girls Club. “The Club has supported my kids as much as it supported me. I feel so lucky to have this resource in our community”, said Sevenau.

A Great Evening for a Great Cause
Founded in 1962, Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley (BGCSV) has a mission to provide positive opportunities for youth and teens to learn, succeed and discover their full potential. BGCSV serves approximately 60% of the total student enrollment in the Sonoma Valley Unified School District with afterschool academic and enrichment programs, athletic leagues, and summer camps.
